March 16th, 2010 · No Comments · Colorado, Elections, Politics

Greg Giroux at CQ Politics lays out a few of the dynamics at play today in Colorado as the campaign for Michael Bennet’s US Senate seat heats up another notch with tonight’s caucus. By all accounts, Jane Norton appears to have the early Republican nomination all but sewed up. Barring any hiccups, she’ll be the [...]

McInnis Looking at Tough Retooling

February 19th, 2010 · No Comments · Elections

More support came out today to suggest that Colorado gubernatorial candidate Scott McInnis’s apparent popularity just a few months ago was really a statement about Governor Bill Ritter’s unpopularity. Via Colorado Pols, Chris Cillizza at the Washington Post has dropped Colorado from the list of governorships likely to change parties this year. The Pols post [...]

Two weeks ago I posted on the NSRC’s involvement in Jane Norton’s pending Senate run and the corresponding conservative discord in the state. Seems that topic is just not ready to go away. This week’s installment sponsored by Tom Tancredo. From the Denver Post:

Former Lt. Gov. Jane Norton will announce her candidacy for the [...]

September 2nd, 2009 · No Comments · Elections, Health care reform

Should Obama Have Appeared with George Lopez?

August 19th, 2009 · No Comments · Elections

I see a little bit of buzz on Facebook this morning about Obama’s recent cameo with George Lopez in a promo for Lopez’s new show. Not everyone I’m reading in the FB comments is impressed.

A couple quick reactions:

First, that’s funny. That’s very funny. I’d check the show out if I had cable.
Lopez must have [...]
